AArrgghhh!!!!

The fucking DVD writer doesnt fucking work does it, stupid piece of fucking shit!

Ha-hmmm!

Calm down Tudor. Right. It basically doesnt get any power - I have tried it in 2 machines, 4 different connectors and nothing. So I will have to call dabs tomorrow and find out what they are going to do with it.

I would like to point out however, that I am not happy. Until they send me one that works. Then I will be less miffed.

Quant (Quiz/Rant)

Took a quiz today and just look. I knew it :)

Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while adults might just accept that, I know something's gotta change. And it's gonna change, just as soon as I become an adult and get some power of my own.
How Old is Your Inner Child? brought to you by Quizilla

And my rant. I remembered what it was. While purging my soul last night with Ian and Shelle, I stumbled across something I had put away and not dealt with.

When I was 7, my Bampi (grandad) passed away. He was the greatest guy in the world, waay better than my father IMO. We used to spend summer holidays at their house in Cardigan, and he would let us play in his store rooms, buy us silly toys and generally play around and be great - lots of stuff my dad didnt do. Nan and Bampi were on their way to see us, to stay overnight. We had gone to bed and they were expected to arrive overnight, so we would wake up and they would be there. Well, when we woke up - they werent there. Bampi had suffered a heart attack in his van he was driving and had passed away.

My parents wouldnt allow me to go to the funeral. I therefore hold them responsible for screwing up my life somewhat, as they wouldnt let me say goodbye to my favouritest person in the world, wouldnt let me grieve properly. If I remember rightly, my Dad did even go! That bugs me even now. Part of me is glad my parents have moved to France to live - cos every time I saw them I get annoyed about stuff. Damn their eyes!

I'm getting choked up writing about this sat at my desk at work. Its one of those things that I put away all the time and try not to think about it and frankly I think thats wrong. I need to deal with my shit and not close it away.

I need to create a list of things I have put away and not dealt with, and then deal with them one at a time until I am better person. Well, different maybe. Maybe not even different - just not so fucked up :)

Racing

Well, I got home last night and went for a run. About a mile. It took me about 7 minutes, which for someone that hasnt been running for years, was quite good.

When I got home, I made some tea (turkey steaks and chips), then found a delivery outside the back door. Some furniture for my kids bedroom. Went online for a bit, then had a shower and spent about 5 minutes more on the bunk beds, before gaving up. At that point I decided to take up on an invitation I had had earlier in the day and went round to Ian and Shelles to get drunk and watch trashy films. What a life I lead.

We had some pretty deep and meaningful discussions last night, like Favourite Song, Most Meaningful Moment in Life, Worst Moment in Life, Thing You Most Want In Life, etc. Quite insightful, as I learnt quite a bit about Ian and Shelle that I didnt know before, so thats good (nothing blackmailable though - damn). Thinking back now, I think maybe some of my responses were quite emotionally based. Which is odd but good. I'm a logical guy, but the emotional crap keeps getting back to me :)

Got home at 8:15 this morning and still managed to catch the 8:41 train. I am not in a good condition this morning.

I had something to rant about this morning, but cant for the life of me remember what it was. I'm sure it will come to me later.

Anyway, when I arrived at the house this morning, a ParcelForce van turned up as well, and promptly made me sign for a package. I ripped it open and hey! presto! - it was my Pioneer DVR-106 DVD+/-R/W! I ordered this from Dabs.com yesterday lunchtime. Now thats fast! I'll install it tonight after the kids have gone home and burn, burn, BURN!

Search Engines

There are some strange people out there. I mean, I decided that a long time ago, but time has convinced I was correct in my inital assumptions. My reasoning? The search terms that find this blog. Lets just have a quick look.

In the month of August, we had:

-striatum
-annabelle tits
-built it at home
-chicken pox early stage pictures
-jake taylor gay
-personality disorder analyzer
-web tattoos
-well hung japanese

Nothing too drastic there. Maybe my faith in human nature was misplaced? Then in September, we got:

-striatum
-el diablero
-frightfest 2003 reviews
-digger land
-frightfest 2003
-frightfest 2003 - reviews
-gozu pictures photos buy
-meaning of men's names
-real meaning of men's names
-slave eat shit to her dominatrix
-slut shag screw
-tiffany minx
-tony blair cunt
-tyre bristol cribbs causeway
-up cunt girls arse
-warehouse canons marsh
-where is the striatum

OK. There are some sickos out there! Maybe October would turn out better:

-striatum
-jsdv32
-jsdv32 review
-samurize
-bloodyexcellent.com
-cute names for penis
-francine wrestler naked
-how to get to diggerland by car
-index of/ pictures/kids
-joytech jsdv32
-jsdv32 multi
-mcclusky's bristol - reviews
-pictures drunk mexicans
-pictures of diggerland
-she drank tequila pictures
-what is striatum
-workplace nickname generator

Not bad, not bad. What scares me is how these pages end up being found for those search terms. Ho-hum :)

This time of year

Something I realised last night while watching the carnival, was "its that time of year again".

Novembers have been inherently bad for me since 1993 - all due to the failure of my first marriage. For a few years I would get quite seriously depressed around this time, then I seemed to accept that shit happened to me, and it generally happened around this time.

How does that work? I was reading someone elses blog earlier, and they have a similar issue. Why November? Am I doomed forever to have bad Novembers? Will it end after 2003 (Nov 1993 - Nov 2003), after dealing me 10 years of getting pissed off and down? I think I need a drink :)

Secret Santa

Our manager thought it would be a good idea to do Secret Santa this year... So she put everyones names in a hat (unless they emailed her and said they didnt want to participate) and went around, letting people pick an ickle-wickle piece of paper from a hat (Q. Why did she have a hat? I've never seen her wear one, and yet she had one on her desk!)

Anyway, I now have to find something completely sublime costing 3 (or less) to fulfill my secret santa obligations. Suggestion to the usual place please, or if the comments suddenly appear (come on Andy - get your finger out and fix my engine), leave something there :)

Funniness and Usefulness

Todays funny link is to a blog I discovered earlier - Scary Duck.
This entry had me in stitches...

However, todays highly useful link of the day is to spider-trap. Found a link to this on Yeah but is it art which I have started reading regularly. spider-trap is a truly excellent idea and I shall be utilising something similar on all my sites, and I suspect that most of my webbing friends will do too.

Aches

Happines Rating: 4/10

Last night, I went with Ian (with his 2 youngest Anthony and Thalia) to see the Weston-super-Mare Winter Carnival. It was pretty good - although finding parking was a nightmare. There are a few pictures I took here. We stood for about 2 hours watching the floats and there were some damn good ones too, but nowhere near as many as there used to be years ago.

This morning, I got up and went for a run. I might have another when I get home tonight as well. If I can drop a couple of pounds before Xmas, I'll be happy. The main reason though is to get fitter. I don't eat much nowadays, so exercise is what I need to do. I hate going to the gym and I dont need to build bulk (if you've ever seen me - you know why), so running seems the ovbious choice. I may even start mountain biking again, as I enjoyed that immensely when I was single before.

So I am aching this morning due to standing around in the cold and going on my first proper run for years. Damn this creaking body :)
