Had the kids yesterday evening and now wont see them until next Wednesday, as Bimbo has them this weekend :(

Then went round to Ian and Shelli's and watched Underworld and The Order (or The Sin Eater as its called over here). I should do a review for my movie list really. Didnt get home until 01:30...

Played 5-a-side football last night after work. We won 11-9. Although I let 9 in, I stopped a shed load more. For my first performance in 6 years, everyone was impressed. I wasnt. I'm not happy about letting 9 in (although they were good goals that beat me true and proper). Hopefully I'll be a bit better next week.

The plan was to get back to Weston last night and then go out clubbing with Tim, but I was too tired and so was Tim due to his LifeGuard training. I went to bed early, he went to the pub. Tonight, there was meant to be a team night out (postponed since Xmas last year) but it has been called off again due to absence of certain team members.

Hopefully, this weekends bash wont get called off (although one of the crew is not coming until later due to his better half going out early in the evening. We will not be in a good state when he meets up with us!), as we have some serious partying and gaming to be done. Out in Bristol and/or Weston on Friday evening and then spending the day at my house on the Saturday having a Console day.

And another frenetic weekend with the kids has finished. For some reason, Chandler has become the funniest human being on the planet (under 2). He is a miniature Charlie Chaplin, walking around the place with a funny gait, miming stuff, falling over things dramatically and waiting for the laughs! Must be something in the water...

Emma has left Weston for Plymouth Uni. No idea when we will see her again. If you read this Em, EMAIL ME! Gonna miss her and her mess around the house. She was a great laugh (many of my witty comments, she bore the brunt of), a good friend and my kids loved her. I had to explain to Rhiannon why she wouldnt be seeing Emma for a while today. That was quite sad :(

The kids stayed over last night. I was late getting back to Weston as the train I was sat on at 16:30 didnt have a driver, so I had to get on another train at a different platform, which then left from another platform, before I got home. Nightmare!

Anyway, so I picked them up and they stayed over, after eating a huge amount of tea between them. Both were up early this morning (but fortunately I was asleep by 22:00 last night), so I got them up, fed and dressed and back to their mum by 08:15 this morning, so I could catch my train into work. Rhiannon looked dead cute in her school uniform - so grown up, yet so little at the same time.

Going out for a drink after work today, and then back to Weston to play snooker with Ben.

Pictures from Thursdays "Mexican" night can now be found here

I also uploaded a load of new photos of the kids (all of these are from my new Sony digital camera and resized to 640*480) here

Went out on Friday night and spent the whole evening in the Cabot again. Had a great laugh. Rhiannon and Chandler were dropped off on Saturday morning, and we had a fantastic weekend doing stuff together. Although, Chandler did sleep for about 4 hours on the Sunday, so I didnt get to spend too much time with him. Rhiannon seems to watch DVDs more than anything now, it sometimes feels like I have for force her to read/paint or anything with me. I suppose it might be due to her being at school, where they do that kind of thing, so DVDs, etc is her release. It makes sense - sorta :)

This morning (amongst other things) a couple of my cars were towed away - my crusty old 440 Turbo and my Cav Convertible. I would never have the money or the time to get it sorted, so gave it up as a bad job :( Pity, cos I'll probably buy another in a couple of years and do it all over again :)

Friday, 12th September 2003

Rhiannon and Chandler got dropped off on Wednesday evening to spend some time with me. I took some ace pictures - which I will upload this evening or Saturday evening (whenever I get the chace).

Last night was spent at the in-laws (who are away in Greece) having a "Going Away To University" party. We all dressed as Mexicans, ate Tex/Mex food and drank Tequila and beer. Got into work at a reasonable time and didnt have a hangover.

Out again this evening. Ian and Shellies to collect some money (paid for their invites yesterday), then snooker with Ben, then into town for some dancing. Bimbo is dropping the kids off at 10am, so I am not planning on getting drunk tonight - couple of pints of bitter shandy and I'll be happy. I can dance without being drunk.

Speaking of dancing, Kim and Katie made a bizarre comment yesterday. Kim said my dancing makes her laugh. I looked offended, and she said "No. No. It's not bad or funny. It's really good, but I don't expect to see you dancing like that." Blinking cheek! :)

Yesterday evening I went and bought myself a new digital camera from Argos. 99.99 got me a 2.0M pixel camera, with LCD, etc and a 64mb memory stick. Not bad for a Sony...

Started charging the batteries last night and have just finished playing around with it. I'll take to work tomorrow for more playing :)

Went to the pub to see that girl this evening after work. Found out her name is Becky, but she wasnt working. I cant make it again this week, so will go back on Monday (when I know she will be working).

Sunday, 7th September 2003

Went out Friday night and had an ace time. Didnt go to very many places. The Old Fish Market by Bristol Bridge, then Chicago Rock Cafe. They had a 2-for-1 for a few hours, so we stayed and took advantage of that :) Then we tried to get into Walkabout, but they thought Andy was drunk, so wouldnt let us in. So we ended up at McClusky's, where we had an excellent time. Met a fantastic looking girl, who wouldnt give me her phone number (because I was a stranger), but said to come and see her where she works and she would see how it went :)

I stayed over at Martin and Carlolyns in Yatton and got home around noon, then went on to pick the kids up at 13:30.

We picked up the photos from our Newquay holiday yesterday (I had them put onto CD as well) and have uploaded them.

Thursday, 4th September 2003

Yesterday evening started badly. I got back to my home railway station for about 17:05 and decided to pop into Safeway before meeting the kids at 17:15 - big mistake!

I didnt get out of the car park until about 18:20. The reason: someone had attempted a raid on the security van that had just done a cash pickup from supermarket!

Anyhow, I picked the kids up and had them round the house for a couple of hours, playing and stuff, before dropping them home in time for bed.

Bimbo then called me this morning after dropping Rhiannon off at school. She had walked in without saying "Bye" and the teacher had to remind her to go and say bye and give her a kiss. Rhiannon had a look of "How embarassing" on her face. I'm glad I wasnt there, cos that would have killed me.

We've organised a last minute "going out" for tomorrow night. Andy, Martin, Paul (probably), Andy F (maybe) and I will be hitting the city centre again for fun and frolicks, hoping to finish the night off in Walkabout (as we all liked it there last time). I'll update on Saturday with the outcome of the hangover :)

Wednesday, 3rd September 2003

It was Rhiannons first day at primary school today, so I took the early morning off work to take her in.

I turned up at Bimbos to find her dressed and ready, in her shiny black shoes, white socks, grey skirt, white blouse and red "logo emblazoned" jumper. I took photos before we left the house and will post the ones from the digital camera later.

When we got to her school, we went into her classroom with her, met her teachers, found her peg and her tray and then the teacher asked her whether she wanted to play with building bricks, puzzles or do drawing. She chose drawing, sat at the desks and that was it. She said bye to us and gave us a kiss and then turned round and got on with it.

As we leaving her classroom, it hit me that she is growing up so fast and she was no my little baby girl. I cried at this point, but Chandler was concerned so he hugged me and made me laugh). I wish I could keep Chandler at about 2yrs old old for the rest of his life, as I miss Rhiannon being like him, but he is growing up too, and I feel that I am missing so much.

It's great being a father, but quite hard at the same time. Its a milestone in her life, and I'm proud to have been there for her.
