| Yay! |
|
Had a great weekend with the kids and Shell. Shell worked from 2pm on Saturday til 8am on Sunday and then slept until 1pm.
Rhiannon surprised me with regard to her surname. When I pointed out to her that I would be the only "Davies" left, she decided that wouldnt do, and therefore didnt want to change her name after all. From a phone call I had from Bimbo last night, after I had dropped them off, this might have caused ructions :) Even so, I have made sure the school will not be changing her name.
Chandler's chickenpox were horrendous on Sunday. Virtually all of them had blistered up, and they were starting to itch/hurt, so I went to the chemists and got some Calomine Lotion. By the time I had finished plastering him in it, he looked like a ghost! Poor thing.
Yesterday evening was spent watching Buffy (Season 3), eating Pizza and drinking Black Ice. Down the pub tonight I think...
Speaking of pizza - we tried the new Dominos Pizza that opened a few weeks back. I ordered online (at around 9.20pm) and the pizza was delivered at 9.52pm. Astonishing service. And not only was the pizza awesome (Pepperoni Passion), but it came with a dipping pot of sauce, to dip the crusts in! Truly excellent. All other pizza parlours in Weston have now lost me as a customer.

| UPDATE!!! |
|
Crikey. How many days without an update? Where have I been? What have I been doing?
3 days. At work and at home. Been ill a bit.
Was ill on Thursday and also on Friday afternoon. I went into work on Friday morning as there were loads of things to do, but I ended up feeling bloody awful so went home.
Have I mentioned how ace Shell is? I had a phone call from Bimbo on Friday, requesting that I write a letter to Rhiannons school saying that I was OK with having her name changed on the register to Brocklesby-Davies.
But I'm not. So I'm not going to. Backbone. Thats what Shell has provided me with. Made me stand up for myself a bit. Which, as most of my mates have told, is about bloody time :)
Picked the kids up last night with Shell and put them to bed after tea (well, Rhiannon went before tea as she was zonked).Chan woke up at 4.30am! Huzzah :(
Shell is working overnight tonight; picking her up at 9am tomorrow so that she can get a few hours sleep. Going to miss her tonight.

Major apologies to Shell for yesterday as I was solely responsible for broadcasting the fact that she once owned a 5ive album to the world. Hey - I've got a Jason Donovan album on tape somewhere...
Got an email from Jono (Hi Jon) pointing me in the direction of the Pino. Apparently they can be picked up for around 20 and I am sorely tempted. If you get 2 of them, they will play with each other, etc. It has been pointed out to me that I am 32 and have no need for such things. But, frankly, that's not the point!.
Still tempted though.
Might need to do some computery stuff tonight, as I need to sort out mate Darren's computers. I'll give him a buzz and go round and see him I think. Or I might go out drinking. I'll let you know tomorrow :)
Yesterday, I also arranged my 2004 access for the kids with Bimbo. Every other weekend (incl Fridays) and every other Friday evening. Hopefully, I can get the w/e on/off to coincide with when Shell works and I get maximum time with my kids and also with Shell. Result!

| Clubbing |
|
I need to wear more appropriate clothing when I go clubbing. Last night for instance. I'm dressed in a T-shirt, fubu baggy jeans and my grey trainers.
T-shirt = OK
Jeans = alright
Trainers = too heavy
Next time it'll be my Adidas L.A. (Black stripe of course). At least I can twat around in them to my hearts content. Saying that though, Shell wouldnt let me dance to 5ive "Get On Up" or Shane Ritchie "I'm Your Man". Though she did admit to once having a 5ive album, so I ribbed her for that.
I mean - 5ive!!!
Yesterday I refound (sic!) the joys that is HomeStarRunner. Check out all the StrongBad toons - awesome :)

| More pictures |

Found some more pictures of the kids from the past couple of months. Added them and a couple from Shell's birthday bash into the gallery.
Had a good day at work today (apart from not being at work, which would have even better) and arranged a whole load of work to do tomorrow and for next week. Unfortunately, I have to work an evening next Thursday due to some major work being done on the network - ho-hum!

| Birthday Weekend |
|
Shell was working until 2pm on Saturday and then Zoe picked her up and took her shopping in Bristol, where she got some birthday presents. Met her at her mums around 5ish, where I was stunned with her present from Zoe - new boots! Pictures will be appearing when I get them uploaded tonight. They are awesome, although they did cause some issues when finding clothes to match.
I then met Shells grandparents - and that all went pretty well. Then finally, we went out for her birthday. We started off in Cheers and moved to the Cabot around midnight. The journey from Cheers was freaky as I had to deal with Shell and the "squeaky boot syndrome". You had to be there to understand it.
Anyway, we had a boogie and lots of drinks (Shell was bladdered) and made our way outside to go home, as Dave had come to pick us up. At this point, Shell got the wrong end of the stick and almost started a fight - that was quite interesting. It has made me come up with the following formula:
Shell + Alcohol = Passion * 2 / Violence
Or something :) She's ace though. We had a good talk until early in the morning and then spent all of Sunday in bed, eating birthday cake, etc and then watched Dogma in bed. What an ace film! Alan Rickman is superb, plus Jay and Silent Bob steal several scenes.
Got loads of work on this week at work. Should keep me busy for once. Also need to work out the next 6 months of access with Bimbo about the kids, which I will probably do on Wednesday when I pick them up.

| 2004 |
|
Well, here it is and so far, its been excellent - bloody excellent even :)
Went out last night with Shell to our local Italian restaurant. We'd both dressed up for the occasion; I looked great, she looked stunning. No pictures though.
Speaking of pictures - I put the pictures from New Years Eve up in the Gallery. Lots of pictures of Shell, Me, her mum, etc down the pub.
Anyway, where was I. Yeah, so we had a great meal. We went out for 2 reasons - 1: We have been seeing each other a month, and 2: Its her birthday on Sunday. We then ended up at Cheers and then came home early-ish.
Today should be fun. Meeting her grandparents this evening, and then out for her birthday bash in town. Shell is planning on getting completely bladdered, so I will have to hold back a bit on my drinking so I can look after her. Pointless both of us being blind drunk :)
During the meal last night, Shell admitted that she has been reading this blog - but she hadnt told me. She found it (using Jeeves) and has been reading it for about 3 weeks now. She's a sneaky little so-and-so, but I love her. Hi Shell :)
Next update will be on Monday, as I will be spending all of tomorrow in bed, recovering, plus giving Shell her b/day presents, cake, etc, etc
Have a good weekend...

| "That Was The Year That Was" or "2003 - The Year Of T-Shirts and Trainers" |
|
Wow! Its was a hell of a year. Lets have a brief recap of what happened:
It started off badly.
It got a bit worse.
Then it got better.
And its just kept on getting better :)
I would like to dedicate 2003 to the following:
Rhiannon and Chandler - without you my life is grim and I love you more than words can say,
Dark Rum, Vodka and Red-X - without you I could remember getting home and not dancing like a fool
Shell - you have made me smile more in a month than I have in the previous year. I love you in more ways than I can type.
Lessons learned:
Don't trust ex-wives.
Enjoy yourself.
Be yourself.
You can never have too may comedy/rude T-shirts or designer trainers.
Be happy for yourself instead of other people.
