Thursday
After Wednesday mammoth walkathon, we got up early, breakfasted, booked out (leaving our luggage at the hostel) and headed off for yet another walking tour - but this time - a mainstream tourist one. This was free (relying on tips) run by Sandemans New Europe. It was very informative and took us around the major sites in Berlin both in West and East Berlin and very good it was too. Highly recommended and very different from the previous days one. We then headed back to the hostel, collected our stuff and made our way to the airport to come home :(
Friday
I worked from home :)
Anyhoo, there seems to be interest in what job future - so here goes:- I am being made redundant
- My notice period goes to the end of July
- I get 6months pay as my settlement
- I get to make a final payment on my HCI purchased screen and laptop and then they are all mine
- My boss has said that once I have finished all my work - I can go on gardening leave until the end of my notice period
- 2 others from the UK part of the account are also leaving along with 10+ in Ireland
What I am going to do next - I have no idea and I wont decide that for a couple of months. So if anyone knows of any short term work going anywhere or contracts doing pretty much anything, let me know :)
I have been buying shedloads of music from eBay to bolster my available DJ gear (you need the originals in case you get questioned about the MP3s). Before I went to Berlin, I went shopping and bought some new clothes and have just purchased this, cos I am a geek!
