Holiday was excellent. I picked the kids up on Saturday, visited my sister on Sunday and went to Newquay on Tuesday.
We were staying at Crantock in my tent, and on the Tuesday we went shopping and also to Newquay Zoo. Wednesday morning saw us at the Eden Project. Chandler woke up as we came in front of the biomes, and his face was a picture. A look of "WTF?" - with wide eyed surprise - truly excellent. From the Eden project, we drove back to Crantock and spent a few hours on Holywell beach before heading off to spend the evening in Mevagissey.
Thursday morning, we packed up the tent and then started heading home. We stopped off for a few hours at Lappa Valley Steam Railway. Once again, Chan was asleep when we arrived, but as he opened his eyes a steam train went past. Within 10 seconds of being awake he was running on the spot with excitement, with his mouth agape. Brilliant. Wish I had been able to video it :)
Today, we went to the pier and we are off to the Wacky Warehouse before tea (to tire them out).
I will post the pictures (once scanned or CD'd) as soon as I can.
Tomorrow I am dropping them off at 11:00, going to get my hair cut and then home for some sleep and getting ready to go out. My birthday bash starts at 16:00 and finishes in the early hours of Sunday morning - should be top :)
