So then. Its the 11th day of 2005 and I haven't updated very much have I?
Good
First off - here's the list of Xmas presents I received:- Kodak CX7330 Digital Camera

- a 35cl bottle of JD with glasses and cards
- 2 bottles of Old Peculier with glasses
- a bottle of wine
- and (from Shell) a framed professional photograph of my kids for my office. It is beautiful. I opened this one last (on Xmas morning) and cried my eyes out...
Thats quite hefty haul I thought.
Bad
Boxing Day was of course ruined by the news of what happened in the Indian Ocean and the devastation caused by the tsunami. If you wish to donate to the cause, visit the Disasters Emergency Comittee. The aftermath of this disaster will be felt for many years to come in that region of the world. We know of friends who were in Thailand (Phuket to be precise) and we are currently still unaware of their status. Here's hoping...
Thursday evening will see Shell and I attending a charity gig here in Weston - Back Bar Live Aid with bands such as Doctor Chocolate, Evanfly, Easter Town and more providing the entertainment, along with Nutty Noah doing table magic. I'm looking forward to this and hope it raises a couple of thousand for the cause.
Ugly
My car. Its poorly. I've lost compression on one of the cylinders and losing it on another. 1 mechanic friend thinks it might be the head gasket (as I'm losing some water) whereas another thinks if fucked. Ho-hum! Unfortunately, it means taking the car apart to find out what the issue is... Mind you, if it is FUBAR, then I'll flog it on eBay and get the Cavalier working again for a while.
And, to add insult to injury, I was driving along yesterday morning listening to the radio and wondering why the reception was crap, to find that some low-life scumbag has stolen my aerial!
Other News
Shell has taken up a new hobby. Collecting the Guinness Book of Records. There are 50 in total and she already has around 20 (in about 2 weeks). eBay is proving good as are charity shops. Weekends looking for used books reminds of my upbringing with my father, who continually dragged me around old book shops searching for Biggles, Worral, Gimlet, Jennings and Billy Bunter first editions :)
