Check this article on the BBC website. We have just got 1Mbps ADSL around the country, 2Mbps ADSL is out there as well, as is 2Mbps cable. In Japan - 8Mbps and 12Mbps are the standard and they are just about to upgrade to provide 26Mbps. I swear, this country is going to pot. Hmmmm - pot...
