For some time I have been debating what to do with this place. As a blog, its a bit of mixed bag. It has links (sometimes), an online diary (most of the time) and random wordage (very rarely).
I'm thinking that what I would like to do is split my "blogality" (I think I just invented that word - blog and personality mixed up) into seperate areas.
I want an online diary so that I can rant about stuff and feel better about myself. Get a little personal and strained. Be more emotional online. I used to, but I feel more restrained nowadays. Maybe its because my life isnt so fucking shit anymore.
I want somewhere to have all my links (updated daily of course) as a point of reference for all my wandering around the net, and the ability to take everyone on a little journey with me so they can see what makes me tick, makes me laugh, makes me love, etc
Plus I want somewhere for all my random shit. I'm a member of a mailing list that keeps me in stitches a lot of the time. There are some weird people on that list, most of whom are now firm friends (yes - I have met up with people off the net, and I wasnt abducted or anything).
Erm. Where was I?
Oh yeah. Random shit :)
I might put up my little stories, some of the stuff from the mailing list archives that I have been responsible for.
So I'm thinking - what about 3 sites (all with an easy to use online updating system)?
There's here for starters. I think this will remain my diary, and I think I will start using it more often. Putting more of me into it. I find I feel a hell of a lot better after a good typing session. Although I sometimes come back and edit it, which I really shouldnt do. This will be my true home. I like it here, I just have to get direction around the shit that lies around me.
There is poo-face.com. This was meant to be a site for a group of friends to blog on, but that group has now drifted far and wide, off to Uni, vanished, etc so the plan now will be for this place to become my links doodah. I'll start the design pretty soon and get my mate Andy to sort out an engine for me to use.
Then there is striatum.org (dont click on it, cos it comes back here). This was the site of my old hosting company. The striatum is a part of the central brain through which virtually everything passes through. That could be a good place for my mad ramblings and suchlike. Once again, it needs a design and an engine.
So, first things first. I'm gonna be doing titles/topic for all my entries now, as well as adding a happiness rating. I will also be turning the comments on, so that I can get some feedback (if there is any) on my wibble. Then I'll get the other 2 sites up and running and off we go. I'm gonna try for a Jan 1st 2004 launch date - that would be good.
