Had a good time with Rhiannon and Chandler this weekend. They got dropped off at 18:00 and Bimbo said they should be tired as they had been playing outside all day.
They went to sleep at 21:30!
Went to the park for a picnic on Sunday and then went to see their grandparents. On the whole, a great weekend.
I am in the process of getting another blog up and running (same script, different shit) which will hold my "political comment" site and maybe another on wild and wacky stuff from around the world. More news, as it happens

Crikey! I just checked my stats and discovered that I am getting linked to by other peoples blogs!
It is links to the Real Meaning of Names.
Comments so far have said that it isnt extensive. I will remedy that immediately.

I watched Eight Legged Freaks last night. What utter arse! Although I now have a new object of desire - Kari Wuhrer... Phwoar!
Also started watching House of 1000 Corpses. Bizarre to say the least.
Anyhoo - I posted this picture to my mailing list as part of a caption competition. I will post the funniest ones here later.

Managed to beat Ben at snooker last night 2-1. He won the first frame on the black, I won the second on the black and I won by about 24points in the third. Getting better.
Looking in the news and things like
this guy setting himself on fire just seem bizarre.
I'm gonna start adding pictures to my blog now - adding some comment on current events, maybe even allowing comments for a captions...

I spoke to Rhiannon yesterday evening. Chandler was in bed (I could hear him shouting in the background) and she was just about to go to bed. We chatted about all sorts of stuff, but mostly she was laughing about when I kissed her down the phone, I was kissing her ear :) I explained that she started it, and she was laughing even more...
Then I had to explain how telephones work. To a 4yr old! Quite tricky.
Anyhow, they are coming round on Saturday evening (as they have Lauren for the day), and Rhiannon asked to stay up late, so I agreed. Mind you, 20:00 is late for her :)

I went to sleep around 21:30 last night. It has helped, but I am still tired.
That is all.

I get home yesterday evening, with the intention of going to bed early.
Emma, Jenny and Tim are here, and they want to watch Equilibrium and Daredevil. Pete comes round around 19:30 and I arrange to meet him in town later. Why!?!
So I meet Pete in Barcode at 21:30ish and then we moved onto The Sands at 22:00. And we stayed there til it closed at 01:00....
Then didnt get home til around 02:00 (after trouble with Tim and Emma, etc) and finally went to sleep around 03:00. Was up dressed and out the house by 07:30 to collect my car from town.
I have been falling asleep at work today. Tonight - I will go to bed early and I will sleep :)
We also started arranging Martins night out at the weekend after next. Looks like it will involve going to Quasar in Bath and then pub/clubbing in Bristol.
Then the Lloyds TSB Charity Pub Crawl in July, and my birthday bash in August...

Blimey!
So Thursday night. I'd had 3 drinks before the thing kicked off at 18:00. We left the place at 00:30 (after a good 12 drinks - none of which I had paid for). We each had 5 vouchers each, yet somehow, I kept being given more. Yay!
Anyhow, we then went clubbing in Bristol - The Works to be precise. We left there at around 02:45 and I was almost asleep on my mates (Andy) sofa for 03:00.
Up at 07:00 and on the way to work :(
So I decided to go home early and be in bed for 17:00. But....
Mark and Devina from Leicester called. They were in Bath for the weekend. So we went out for a drink and a meal and then they dropped me home. It was great to see them again, I just wish I hadnt had been so tired. I'd forgotten how much fun Mark is and how long suffering Devina is :) I hope to go and visit them over the summer sometime.
Had Rhiannon and Chandler over the weekend. Next weekend I dont get them until later in the day, as Luke has his daughter as well.
On Saturday, Rhiannon went shopping with Pete and Shauni to get my fathers day presents:
Mach III razor - Yay!
Gilette shaving foam - Yay!
Small beanie of a Sheep - Yay!
The new Cheeky Girls CD single - Erm.
But they were presents she thought of, so that pretty cool. The card she bought was the size of Chandler :)
Last night, before I fell asleep, I rebuilt my Tecra 8000 with Windows XP. I was trying to get a DivX player to install, but it kept complaining, even though I had all the latest drivers and libraries installed. Stupid thing! So I taught it a lesson and installed XP instead. Runs a treat. Now I can IRC, DivX, etc from bed :)
I fell asleep and woke up at 04:00 this morning. All my PCs were on, TV was on, and I was face down in some printouts that I had been reading... Maybe I should get some sleep!

I left work to catch the 16:30 train home yesterday. Got home, changed clothes and grabbed some films and stuff and went straight out.
Round to Bimbo's to spend some time with Rhiannon and Chandler. Was there for an hour, and it was really nice. Rhiannon has stopped doing ballet (some months back) and is now interested in learning to play the guitar. So I am going to see if its possible to set that up, although she might be too young. Chandler didnt want me to leave again, but Rhiannon gave me a flower.
I then spent the rest of the evening at Ian and Shellies watching films, eating and sorting out Ians computer :)
Tonight is a works do. Starts at 18:00 with free food, drinks and entertainment. I'll be leaving at 22:20 to catch the last train back to Weston. My car is at the station, so if I havent drunk too much (yeah right) then I can drive home, otherwise I'll be leaving it there and walking home (which only takes about 10 minutes). Paul is DJing tonight and I have provided most of the "modern" music for him to play.
I'll update here tomorrow with any stories, etc (and maybe photos)...

As I am going on holiday with the kids in August, I thought I would do a little research into single dads taking their kids on holiday, using the web.
There isnt anything (of any substance)!
Plenty of sites and information for single mums (which is still relevant) but nothing geared to fathers.
So, I'm gonna do a site. A proper commercial site. With articles and proper writers, and guest contributions and advice and forums, etc. I'm already a member of Families Need Fathers, so I think I will contact them and a couple of other sites and try to get input from them. I have put my ideas (and moans) forward to my online friends, and have had offers of support, coding, hosting, etc already. My friends are ace! Cheers guys!
I'm thinking it could be good for me for several reasons. It will make me get off my arse and do something constructive, plus it may one day provide an income (if I do it right) so I can give up my day job and possibly take my kids full time.
I have arranged for my mate Pete and his teenage daughter to take Rhiannon shopping on Saturday morning, so that she can get me a Fathers Day present/presents. I mentioned it to her on Sunday, as she said that she knew exactly what she was going to get me - face make-up, so that I could dress up as a clown for her birthday :)
